Born in 1979, based in Belgrade (Serbia). Graduated and received her master’s degree in 2006 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Belgrade. She had several solo and group shows, and has participated in artist-in-residence programs in Croatia, Greece, Germany, Italy and Belgium. 

Employing a mix of multimedia and digital, Ana Vujović’s work explores the post-analogue experience – society’s interactions with the digital world and its relationship to our roots of traditional heritage. Her works are created as a set of multiple, equally important elements that open up a dialogue, analyzing the relationship of two different visual languages, focusing on the issues of manipulation and deformation within societal and social themes. Inspired by an error made by a machine i.e., modern digital technology, the artist simulates this principal of error created by modern technology in the traditional analogue medium. In her works she explores the relationship between tradition and contemporary life, and through the motif of a deformed ornament, Ana makes a visual commentary on the society in which we live, which involves a complex reconsideration of the established canon and value systems, as well as the accelerated changes we are exposed to as a society. Ana’s art practice involves object making, sculpture, installation, interventions, drawing and painting through which she examines marginalized part of the society through combination of multidisciplinary sound and light installations, and in her most recent works through multimedia objects, how we encounter and understand the hypocrisy of society.
